人工知能(AI)の時代において、 最高情報セキュリティ責任者(CISO)やセキュリティ部門のリーダー達は、迅速に新しいテクノロジを導入しなければいけないというプレッシャーに直面している。ただし、不要なリスクから組織を守り、事業全体の目標との整合性を合わせるために、「ノー」と言う力と意思を持つことが重要だ。「ノーばかり言う部門」と見られずに「ノー」と言うことはできる。そうするには会話を続けて、「ノー」が「はい、そして…」に変わるようにすることだ。CISOは、戦略的な意思決定に焦点を当て、セキュリティへの影響と組織全体の目標への貢献度に基づいて、取り組みに優先順位を付ける必要がある。そうすることで、AIによってもたらされる課題を効果的に管理し、成果を上げることができる。
