Google is now defaulting to the use of passkeys for authentication. This is a huge step in increasing the strength of the authentication mechanism out of the box for users, and, at the same time, makes it easier to use.

Any organization trying to swim through the plethora of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) being released should prioritize and focus on those being actively exploited. How to do this, you may ask? Follow the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities list — to which the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency just added five new bugs, including the recent Adobe Acrobat, WordPad, Skype and HTTP/2 zero-days — and focus your efforts on those.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making moves in the security space, but don’t expect your shiny new AI tool to be any more accurate than what you’re doing now. We are a long way from that.
