Analyst: Application Detection and Response is an ‘emerging category’

One of the leading cybersecurity analyst firms is calling Application Detection and Response (ADR) an “emerging category.” IDC, which has one of the premier Application Security (AppSec) research managers, met with Contrast Security at Black Hat in August to learn more about ADR. 

IDC’s Katie Norton wrote the following about her meeting with Contrast Security in her September 2024  IDC Market Note, Black Hat USA 2024: Key Takeaways and Announcements for DevSecOps: 

“Contrast Security has introduced an ADR solution to help security teams identify vulnerabilities, detect threats, and stop attacks targeting custom applications and APIs, all underpinned by the Contrast Runtime Security platform technology. The solution offers real-time alerts with context and reduced false positives for various application attack types.”
