Insight #1

If you’re not performing routine tabletop exercises to ensure that your organization is protected from cybersecurity vulnerabilities, you should be. It's one thing to have detailed processes for executing during an incident, but if you never test those processes, how do you know they work?

Insight #2

We are still paying ransomware extortion; just look at the latest attack against UnitedHealth Group, in which the company purportedly paid $22 million to recover access to data and systems encrypted by the BlackCat ransomware gang (payment that reportedly led to the gang’s implosion and the failure to delete the stolen data, mind you). There’s a huge push to stop ransomware payments, and to even make them illegal, but that won't stop the attacks. How do you feel about all of this?

Insight #3

Gartner predicts that half of all CISOs will have adopted Security Behavior Change Programs (SBCPs) by 2027. I would agree. This approach, centered around the user, effectively reduces friction caused by cybersecurity measures, thus enhancing the probability of its broad acceptance and the sustainability of behavioral changes among staff.
